Hi everyone,
You probably have seen the new changes in U3 Applications, the first is the payment factor.
The reason I have set payments are because I cannot continue running a free website as I need to pay for funds for the server. I do wish I could keep it free though but it’s just something that happens.
Don’t worry membership is only $3 a month until further notice, this is a simply reasonable price for all the applications and all the one’s to come.
Let’s take a look at what else has changed…
If you have registered and logged in, but have not paid for membership. You obviously cannot see the blog since an error message is blocking you to see the blog once you finish your payment.
Holding this one in bold. I have now forced a secure gateway on the website. As you can see the website is now https://www.u3applications.net , this is just a secure port on the server which will display the website from now on. You may be prompted that this website is unsecure through the secure https, just ignore it and continue. For Firefox users click ‘add an exception’.
The website design has changed, I was looking for a different design for quite a while now, and luckily this came up so I got it all set up. Hopefully this design is much more clear to understand and faster than the previous one. Feedback on it will be great.
For Guests there is always something. For guests who haven’t registered on the blog will get a “app of the day” displayed on the frontpage which everyone can download. After it has finished the day it will move to the paid side of things.

Your site is really great! I am one of few people who use U3 in Ivanovo, Russia, and I got four more people interested in the technology. It is a sad news for me that you decided to make the site a membership one. It is quite problematic to remit USD 3.00 a month via standard banking system - the cost of that would be USD 20.00. Maybe there is another solution? Just for your information: U3 drives can hardly be found in Moscow, not to mention Ivanovo.
Well as you can see all the URLs are downloadable now, this is because I received an e-mail from paypal saying that I was not allowed to offer membership like that.
So it’s back to the free users again.
But I still need ways to pay for the server funds.
