Well you all thought the abandoning part of the title would mean that I am leaving U3 Applications and cancelling it for good, WELL YOUR WRONG This website will stay up as long as I can, hopefully even during university time.

This post is just to tell that I will not be continuing the U3 & Portable Apps integration as Joomla does not have a wordpress importer as that was the system I intended to use.

I will also be thinking of a new way to add the Portable Applications with the one’s listed here.

Sorry about all this delay and I will start posting applications as soon as I can.

As you may have known or even seen, there hasn’t been any activity on the website lately and Portable Applications is even down, well there is a reasonable explanation for this.

The previous hosting provider we had bumped out on me and I had to transfer the website to a new server so I can get it back up and running.

Also this is the main one, I am working on a brand new U3 Applications | Portable Applications joint system. This means that there will be an all new website look and system allowing you to download both U3 and Normal applications for your USB’s. Since I am doing this by myself it will take a long time to do, so this is the point in my life that will take the longest in coding a website.

You’re all probably wondering why there aren’t any applications being released lately, well this is because I am working on the portable applications website. I am trying to do an integration between both websites in order for a search to work correctly, hopefully I can get this done soon and I’m sorry about applications not being at a good pace. Although I am trying to put on a few applications from time to time.

From Saturday I have been looking through many themes that I could spice U3 Applications up with, I found one which seemed very simple and clean and customized it for your great benefits.

Well here it is, you should be looking at it with this post.

There are still a lot of changes to be made like the posting elements and the main logo, and maybe some parts of the sidebar.

Overall everything is fully functional and I hope you like the new theme. I also have added new features manually within this theme so it makes it easier for you!

When you see that High Server Load Detected bit on the top left, you can now click it to find what it’s all about, also I will soon add a way to show what the problem is with the website.

When clicking the RSS or Firefox logo you can see much more in a dialog box

The search box is now more improved, when you click the text field a window will come up allowing you to search either through Google or the site, Also recent searches are available to you.

Much more will be available and I am trying to the time it takes for the page to load.
